Hi everyone,
I'm on the bill for two shows of two different types of music this weekend.
On Saturday night at 9pm I'll be appearing with the R&B/hiphop band of Stacey Israel at LUCID on University Ave in Seattle. Stacey is an accomplished and beautiful singer that I have had the pleasure of doing numerous Jazz and R&B shows with for the past 2-3 years. We'll be doing a mix of her originals and some classic R&B from back in the the day (think Chaka Khan, Taste of Honey, etc).

AND, I will be with Bob Antolin and Randy Clere's Comfort Food Band at Waid's Haitian Cafe Sunday night. Billed as "Bitches Brew meets Fela Kuti", this band plays a unique and eclectic mix of jazz fusion originals, covers, and sometimes we just make it up on the spot! It's an interesting and highly danceable blend of progressive jazz driven by African rhythms. This band is proving to be a pleasant and exciting surprise to everyone who hears it. They love us at Waid's, and it's one of our most regular gigs.
