The usual great jam sessions at the Tiny Ninja and the Owl n Thistle, and Seattle hot new reggae groove band, Kore Ionz, in a special show at Nectar. Bata-Rumba is a hybrid form of Cuban rumba combining bata drums with guaguanco. It was created by the group Afro-Cuba De Matanzas. Today, there are many forms and styles of Bata Rumba in Cuba. The city's of Havana, Matanzas and Santiago lead the way with many types of forms. We will also be combining with a funky style called Guara Panchegeo. All skill levels welcomed :-)
