The Jovino Santos Neto Quinteto with Jovino Santos Neto on piano, flute and melodica, Jeff Busch on percussion, Chuck Deardorf on bass Mark Ivester on drums, — with Chris Stover, great Seattleite trombonist and percussionist, who is now the head of the Jazz Composition Dept at the NYC's prestigious New School. Basically, you'll get to see a world-class Brazilian jazz gig just for showing up at the Royal Room.

12noon Summer House Concert 13319 125th Ave NE Kirkland WA A House Summer Concert featuring En Canto, a Seattle-based group that brings the lively, danceable rhythms of Brazil (forró, baião, choro, and more). The band will be accepting donations of $10 or best offer. We'll fire up the grill. You bring your favorite meat and/or veggie. We'll have the ingredients for caipirinhas and other cocktails alike. You bring your own bottle.
